Your Child could appear on stage for the Bolton Xmas Lights with Real Radio

Register Today and your child could be joining Ditchy, Salty and Danny Jones from McFly on stage for Bolton’s Christmas Lights Switch on.

The McFly frontman is the latest in a long line of Bolton celebrities to switch on the Christmas lights in Victoria Square.

The event, sponsored by Langley Interiors of Bolton, starts at 5pm with Danny counting down to the big switch-on at 7pm.

Danny, who was born in Bolton and attended Thornleigh Salesian College and then Bury College, said: “I really can’t wait to return to Bolton and switch on the Christmas lights. I was born and brought up here and have some great memories of spending Christmas in the town with my family. It’s a real honour to be asked to attend the big switch-on as I know it’s a huge event in the festive calendar.”

He will be joined on stage by the Mayor of Bolton, Councillor Noel Spencer, and Father Christmas following a full programme of entertainment hosted by our very own, Ditchy and Salty.

There will be music by local singer Gemma Louise Doyle and X Factor contestants Kendro, a performance by the Gandini light juggling show, plus an appearance by the Albert Halls panto cast, Goldilocks and the Three Amazing Bears.

Players from Bolton Wanderers will also make an appearance, along with Lofty the Lion, and the traditional Bolton Christmas parade will weave its way through the town centre.

For your chance to win visit Real Radio, answer the question and register your details. Enter quick – closes at midnight tonight!
